Textron Inc.'s Julie Duffy is the new executive vice president of human resources, replacing Cheryl Johnson.
Duffy has been with Textron since 1997 when she joined as part of the corporate legal team. Since then she was named executive counsel in 2009 and vice president and deputy general counsel-litigation in 2011.
Before coming to Textron, Duffy worked at Pillsbury Winthrop as a commercial and employment litigation associate.
Duffy attended Georgetown University, where she earned her bachelor's degree, and Boston University for her law degree. She has been part of the Rhode Island Judicial Nominating Commission.
In her new role, Duffy will report to Chairman and CEO Scott Donnelly.
"Julie is a well-respected leader who has partnered with our human resources organization on key issues that help to support and develop our employees throughout the company," Donnelly said.
