Beyond Inc. has filled its need for sales staff in a matter of months through innovation and charitable practices.
Beyond is a start-up provider of business services, such as payment processing, that was launched in May. CEO Robert Carr made it very clear that the company would be contributing to the community through Give Something Back, a nonprofit that helps college students with scholarships.
Beyond has pledged to do this through making Give Something Back the beneficiary of Carr's majority shareholder position.
Beyond has recruited 200 employees, including 120 sales personnel. In addition to the CEO's philanthropic tendencies towards the community, employees have also become the subject of his generosity through the compensation and benefits packages offered by Beyond. Additionally, all employees from the 2017 hiring campaign will have a chance to own a portion of the company.
"Already, we're seeing that Beyond's unique emphasis on doing business the right way is attracting top-quality employees and drawing a loyal and engaged customer base," Carr said.
Give Something Back, founded by Carr in 2003, has given more than $35 million to 1,500 students.
"Beyond is a company that's on a mission to help young people. I looked at that and thought – I can go and get a job anywhere and make money," Crystal Patterson, a new hire for the San Antonio, Texas team, said. "It's kind of cool to work for a company where I can make a good living and also do something bigger, helping with what I hold dear to my heart."
