With more than 16 years of experience in the areas of financial planning and analysis, Todd Seiffer is the perfect chief financial officer for Businessolver.
Seiffer has worked with Businessolver to ensure growth in the company, just as he did in his previous position with Allscripts, where company revenue increased from $300 million to $1.4 billion.
"I've been thrilled to witness and contribute to Businessolver’s incredible growth over the past few years," Seiffer told HR Daily Wire. "Great success always raises the questions, 'How do we continue it?' and 'How do we top it?' At Businessolver, the answers are an unwavering commitment to innovating our products and delivering delight to our clients."
Seiffer feels that Businessolver's location -- headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa -- gives the company a multitude of benefits.
"Our Des Moines headquarters puts us close to some of the top universities in the Midwest and allows us to leverage the great technology and benefits expertise that has grown in the area," Seiffer said, also mentioning the workforce hubs, easy access to talent and something special.
"I think one of the biggest advantages we have is our 'Midwest attitude.' Family, empathy, warmth, heart – these are all words that come to mind when thinking about Businessolver and its workplace culture," Seiffer said.
So far, 2017 has been a big year for Businessolver; With the launching of its MyChoice Mobile App, the company has been able to give customers more control over their benefits.
"The app was a pivotal step forward because it allows users to seamlessly integrate benefits into their everyday lives and makes them easy to understand and use," Seiffer said. "Looking ahead, we plan to continue the great momentum we established during the first half of the year by introducing new features to the Benefitsolver platform as well as new additions to MyChoice."
Seiffer's momentum and perspective of the coming year is not easily squelched, even when asked about the Affordable Care Act's effect on the company.
"The bottom line is that the ACA is the law until it isn’t," Seiffer said. "We’ve encouraged our customers to stay the course until new mandates are officially on the books, and we’re staying informed up-to-the-minute to help them analyze what a new law could mean for business."
Seiffer credits much of the company's ability to handle the act to Angel Hower, Businessolver's ACA product lead.
"She and her colleagues work to improve IRS products, processes and procedures, including ACA reporting," Seiffer said. "Angel’s work on the front lines helps Businessolver and our customers stay ahead of legislative curveballs."
In all his years of experience, Seiffer still looks to business-minded individuals for inspiration, including Reid Hoffman, LinkedIn's founder, and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
"I have always been inspired by fearless disruptors who use technology to make every day processes better," Seiffer said, throwing Jon Shanahan and Rae Shanahan, CEO and chief strategy officer of Businessolver, into the mix. "Their story is a great reminder that if you see a problem, find a solution – and if one doesn’t exist, create it yourself."
As 2017 enters its second half, Seiffer and Businessolver are still ramping up operations and taking on new customers.
"Just like our customers, it’s our busiest time of year, but also the most rewarding," Seiffer said. "Coming together to deliver delight for our clients during the most critical time of year for them is a testament to what makes Businessolver different."
