An experienced recruitment professional is sought for a position with Marion County, Oregon to provide paraprofessional, technical and administrative service for the jurisdiction’s HR and Risk Management departments.
Marion County prefers a high school graduate who has studied HR management or business administration and either has five years of progressive office experience or the equivalent in related study and training. Applicants must have a current driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record and may be asked to take a job-skills assessment prior to interviewing.
The position is a full-time union job in Salem with a pay scale of $21.86 to $29.30 per hour. Candidates should be proficient at research, recordkeeping, writing and office procedures, along with customer service; and be familiar with HRIS, word processing and spreadsheet applications.
The successful applicant will handle communications, documents, policy, compliance and data analysis with discretion and diplomacy under the supervision of the HR manager or risk manager.
He or she will oversee social media presence, outreach and recruitment details; advise managers on hiring, training and improvement, and provide surveys, research and support as needed. The recruitment specialist will also oversee affirmative action and reporting procedures for equal opportunity and related matters.
