G&A Partners was one of the first professional employer organization’s to receive the IRS designation as a Certified Professional Employer Organization (CPEO).
The human resource outsourcing and administrative services provider earned the designation as part of an IRS program established by the Small Business Efficiency Act (SBEA) in 2014. CPEOs are given the responsibility of collecting and remitting their client’s federal payroll taxes which eliminates double taxation.
“As an organization that prides itself on having been a leader within the PEO and HR outsourcing industry for more than 20 years, it was important for us to be part of this first class of CPEOs,” G&A Partners Chairman and CEO Tony Grijalva said. “We have always been committed to holding ourselves accountable to a standard of incomparable professionalism and providing our clients with the best-in-class HR solutions. Achieving this designation from the IRS allows us to demonstrate our commitment to our clients and the greater business community.”
Grijalva said the IRS certification program represents a step forward for the PEO industry.
“Now that the potential issue of double taxation has been removed, we hope that many more businesses will see the value a PEO can provide, including minimized costs, greater operating efficiencies and peace of mind when it comes to regulatory compliance issues,” Grijalva said.
