ElmTree Funds, LLC, a leading real estate private equity firm, is pleased to announce Kerry Gawrych has been promoted to the role of Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. In this role, she will lead all of the firm’s accounting, financial reporting, analysis and administration departments. Ms. Gawrych will also continue to serve on the firm’s compliance committee. She is based in St. Louis.
“Kerry’s wealth of knowledge and financial expertise in commercial real estate have been invaluable to ElmTree’s growth over the last three years, and we’re thrilled to see her continue to advance within the organization with this hard-earned and well-deserved promotion,” said Jim Koman, managing principal at ElmTree Funds. “As CFO, Kerry will take an even more integral role on our leadership team, leading ElmTree through periods of rapid growth that will be essential to our continued success.”
Ms. Gawrych has more than 20 years of progressive accounting experience in the commercial real estate industry including development and operating accounting responsibilities for retail, office, industrial and multifamily properties. She joined ElmTree Funds in 2015 as its Controller, where she managed the construction draw process for build-to-suit properties, spearheaded the external audit process, and ensured the maintenance of internal controls. Prior to ElmTree Funds, she was the Controller/Director of Accounting for Koch Development Co., Inc. Ms. Gawrych has also held leadership roles at THF Realty, The John Buck Company, General Growth Properties and Midland Development Group. Ms. Gawrych holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from University of Dayton.
Commenting on her promotion Ms. Gawrych added, “I look forward to continuing to build on the momentum we’ve garnered at ElmTree to date and implementing the necessary financial and operational strategies conducive to ElmTree’s growth plans.”
ElmTree Funds also recently bolstered its Investor Relations team with the hiring of Annie Hsieh as Executive Vice President. Ms. Hsieh is based in New York City and is leading the firm’s capital raising and investor relations functions.
