Rockefeller Capital Management issued the following announcement on July 30.
Rockefeller Capital Management, an independent financial services firm, announced that Jack Ryan has joined the firm as its Chief Human Capital Officer. A human resources leader with over 25 years of experience across General Electric’s global businesses, Ryan will be an instrumental part of the executive team, driving the talent strategy at the growing financial services firm. He will be responsible for all human resource functions at Rockefeller Capital Management, including leadership development and management across Wealth Management, Asset Management and Strategic Advisory.
“Jack brings tremendous experience across all aspects of human capital management,” said Gregory J. Fleming, President & CEO of Rockefeller Capital Management. “Our people are our most critical asset, and Jack’s knowledge and skillset will be invaluable as we build an organization with the best talent across financial services and technology. Jack will help drive our mission to create differentiated service for our clients, delivered by outstanding professionals in a dynamic work environment.”
“After spending a career at one of the world’s largest and most diverse global companies, I am excited to be part of the leadership team investing in and building out Rockefeller Capital Management,” Ryan said. “I’ve been impressed by the firm’s strategy to innovate and grow, while maintaining the same level of excellence that has served the Rockefeller family for seven generations.”
Ryan’s track record in developing and managing workforces at one of the world’s premier talent development businesses will be indispensable as Rockefeller Capital Management continues to invest in its people. While at General Electric, Ryan spent the majority of his time in the field building successful businesses. He spent the last two years leading Executive Development and serving as the Chief Learning Officer with responsibility for General Electric’s Crotonville Leadership Development Institute. For six years before that, he was the top human resources leader for GE Capital. Ryan is a graduate of General Electric’s Human Resources Management Program and has his bachelor’s degree in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University.
Ryan starts at Rockefeller Capital Management September 1. He will report to Fleming and join the Executive Committee.
Since launching in March 2018, Rockefeller Capital Management has added a team of senior leaders to enhance the client experience and build out new capabilities, products and distribution channels. Rockefeller Capital Management is building upon the former Rockefeller & Co. platform to develop a high-performing wealth and asset management business combined with bespoke strategic advisory services.
