Craig Buffie will be vacating his position as KeyCorp’s chief human resources officer this year, after he has assisted Brian Fishel assume the role as his replacement.
"Craig has been instrumental in our company's growth over the last five years, transforming our leadership and talent development capabilities and guiding significant improvements to the employee experience at Key," Chairman and CEO Beth Mooney said.
Buffie has been in his position since 2013. Mooney noted that he served in an integral role during the company's integration of First Niagara in 2016, co-leading the Transition Leadership Team.
Fishel has been KeyCorp's chief talent officer since joining the firm in 2013. He previously held senior-level positions in HR and organizational growth with Bank of America, the Coca-Cola Co., and Pizza Hut.
He holds both bachelors and master's degrees in education from Miami University of Ohio.
"I am thrilled to have Brian join our executive team," Mooney said. "His 25-year career in human resources gives him the depth and breadth of experience to effectively lead Key's human resources organization."
