F5 Networks, a cloud and security solutions provider, has hired Frank Pelzer as the company’s executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Pelzer will lead the company’s financial planning, analysis, accounting, reporting, internal auditing procedures, and investor relations, and will directly report to F5’s CEO François Locoh-Donou. He will be based at F5’s corporate headquarters in Seattle.
“Frank’s acumen and breadth of experience with companies focused on cloud and as-a-service technologies make him a natural fit for the next phase of F5’s growth,” Locoh-Donou said. “With the company’s emphasis on multi-cloud deployments, modern financial operations play a key role in further aligning our technologies, service offerings, and business models with the numerous ways customers are consuming app services.”
Prior to joining F5, Pelzer was president and chief operating officer of SAP’s Cloud Business Group, where he became heavily involved in the strategy and operations of the company’s SaaS portfolio. He also worked at Concur Technologies as CFO, and held senior leadership positions at Deutsche Bank AG and Credit Suisse Group. He is a member of the board of directors for Benefitfocus, Limeade and Modumetal.
Pelzer is an alumnus of Dartmouth College, and also holds a master’s degree from Dartmouth's Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
