The American Urological Association (AUA) recently announced Barbara Hartford’s promotion to the position of chief financial officer.
She succeeds Mark Campobello, who retired after 23 years in the position.
As AUA’s new CFO, Hartford will lead the overall financial operations of the organization, including financial planning and analysis, accounting and reporting, and tax and internal audit management. She has 32 years of industry experience under her belt.
Hartford previously served as director of finance of AUA. Before that, she worked in public accounting and also held several financial consulting positions in the healthcare field.
“During her nearly 14 years with the AUA, Barb has made significant contributions to the organization and played a pivotal role in leading financial operations and building strong relationships with our Board of Directors," AUA’s Chief Executive Officer Michael T. Sheppard said.
She is a graduate of the University of Baltimore and also holds a master’s degree in Accounting Forensic Studies from Stevenson University.
