CenturyLink will create 150 new jobs in its new small business sales center in Monroe, Louisiana.
Vernon Irvin, president of CenturyLink's government, education, medium and small-business group, said the new center will provide strategic support to new and existing small business customers with specialized services and products like CenturyLink Business Wi-Fi and CenturyLink Business VoIP.
"This new outbound sales center will enable us to better engage with small businesses to not only educate them on our range of services but also to share how we can be a trusted partner in helping them achieve their business goals," Irvin said.
CenturyLink is the second-largest U.S. communications provider to global enterprise customers. It has already hired 70 of the 150 employees who will staff the center, and plans to fill the remaining roles by year's end.
