The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff is looking for a human resources specialist.
Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal skills and knowledge in preparing, presenting and reviewing documents. The HR specialist will work in a technological environment and should be proficient in multiple computer and database applications. Most of all, the applicant should possess a high level of integrity.
Minimum qualifications are a high school diploma or equivalent and three years of HR-related experience that has created a familiarity with human resources principles and practices.
Once hired, the successful candidate will be responsible for guiding and managing new employees, supervisors and timekeepers’ leaves in accordance with the institution’s policies. The HR specialist will also receive, review, maintain and verify leave information in the system. Oversight of FMLA duties and responsibilities and management of catastrophic leave are other responsibilities.
The new HR Specialist will also manage the Arkansas State Vehicle Safety Program.
