Software company Autodesk recently appointed Karen Blasing to its board of directors and to a role on the company's Audit Committee.
"Karen is an excellent addition to the Autodesk Board," Autodesk President and CEO Andrew Anagnost said. "Her track record with implementing business model changes and processes that empower customers and employees aligns nicely with our company priorities, and I look forward to working with her."
Blasing was most recently the chief financial officer of Guidewire Software, where she pioneered a technology platform that enhances insurers' ability to engage and empower their customers and employees. She received her bachelor's degree in economics from University of Montana and her master's in business administration from the University of Washington.
She was also CFO of Force10 Networks and senior vice president of finance at Salesforce.com. She also sits on the board of directors for Ellie Mae and Zscaler.
Autodesk Chairman of the Board Crawford Beveridge praised Blasing’s expertise in finance, operations, strategy and knowledge of technology.
