Mortgage Guaranty Insurance Corp., the main subsidiary of MGIC Investment Corp., has hired Sean Valcamp as vice president and chief information security officer.

"Sean will be a great fit in his role at MGIC," Greg Chi, senior vice president of information services and chief information officer, said. "His leadership credentials and wealth of experience in information risk management and governance practices make him a valuable addition to our team as we support MGIC's ongoing growth. I am delighted to welcome Sean to the company."

Valcamp has a bachelor's of science degree in computer information systems from the University of Phoenix and has 28 years of experience in the technology sector. He held various roles in the IT department at Avnet, including serving as their global security leader for over 11 years and becoming their first chief information security officer in 2015.
