Ideal Industries is seeking an HR generalist who will execute all of the company's operational HR activities in Sycamore, Illinois.
Duties include employee relations, recruitment, training, development and performance management. The HR generalist will also work with Ideal's site leadership team to coordinate HR objectives with those of the business and the company's employees.
HR generalist duties also include serving as a primary contact for employees on HR matters, ensuring a positive employee relations environment, overseeing the hiring process for non-exempt plant positions, and conducting new employee orientation.
The position also requires handling administrative functions for employee changes using the ADP HRIS System and identifying employee training and development opportunities. The HR generalist is also responsible for overseeing plant safety programs and safety standard and reporting compliance as well as coordinating special events.
A bachelor's degree in HR or a related field and three years of experience in HR -- with previous experience in a lean manufacturing environment -- are required.
Qualifications also include strong communications and organizational skills, knowledge of both federal and state HR regulations, and HR and manufacturing processes, particularly with a continuous improvement mindset.
