Preparing to present a wealth of governance and leadership guidance, the Association of Governmental Risk Pools (AGRIP) will sponsor its annual conference at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront hotel from March 4-7.
This year’s 2018 Governance & Leadership Conference, titled “The Next Chapter of Public Entity Pooling,” offers a full slate of information and materials, with pre-conference tours available March 4.
Beginning with noon registration on March 4, the event features “hop-on, hop-off” old town trolley tours interspersed with professional panels, receptions and speaker engagements addressing timely issues such as workforce demographics, legal oversight, best practices, the latest in benefits trends and analytical tools.
Additional topics comprise community and customer relations, targeting audiences and recruitment. Workshops are woven around informal activities and mealtime discussions, culminating in awards and recognitions.
The Bayfront is located at One Park Boulevard in San Diego.
“We bring the brightest minds and ideas together to help make pooling more successful,” representatives said. Membership comprises various participation levels, offering opportunities for representation and networking tools.
Headquartered just outside Albany in Latham, New York, AGRIP strives to encourage collaborative leadership by emphasizing the “power of pooling” to empower its members through up-to-date information on pooling public entity resources.
