The Diversity and Inclusion Office of the human resources department at Oakland, California's East Bay Municipal Utility District is looking for an HR analyst.
Typical duties include the development and administration of workforce diversity development programs, diversity outreach events, EEO/AA related training, Affirmative Action programs, affinity groups, and intakes of EEO discrimination, harassment, and/or retaliation complaints
The job qualifications are having a knowledge of general statistical methods as well as contemporary industry principles, practices, and state and federal laws and regulations about diversity outreach and workforce development and EEO. Skills include working with written materials, statistics, spreadsheet software and other computer applications; analyzing information on various issues, practices, and programs; evaluating alternative actions plans; preparing reports and presentations; and communicating with diverse people.
The ideal candidate has good interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and can produce quality work even under pressure. He or she needs to be able to work simultaneously on projects and work well both collaboratively and independently. The ideal candidate is one with experience in outreach events, workforce development programs, training, EEO investigations of discrimination, harassment, and/or retaliation claims. A knowledge of contemporary industry principles and practices of AA Programs is also preferred.
