Griffin Capital Co. has appointed Brandi Gordon as senior vice president and head of human resources.
Gordon will guide the strategic direction and operational execution of HR, including talent management, organizational effectiveness, and leadership development. She has been an external HR Consultant for Griffin Capital since 2011 and will now lead and support the firm’s initiatives that will further its vision and employee experience.
“Over the past seven years, she has consulted on our HR needs and has proven to be a highly knowledgeable professional who combines institutional experience with compassion, insight, and empathy, a unique combination of skills that will enhance the continued development and growth of our team,” Griffin Capital Chairman and CEO Kevin Shields said.
Gordon has over 25 years of HR experience in the financial and professional services sectors. She was most recently at ABD Insurance and Financial Services, where she managed strategic initiatives and fulfilled outsourced HR leadership roles as a senior HR consultant. Her other roles include senior HR management positions with Wachovia Financial (Wells Fargo) and as an instructor for the Society of Human Resources Management.
Gordon has a bachelor of arts in organizational communications and human resources management from San Francisco State University and studied organizational development in the school’s graduate program. She holds SHRM-SCP and SPHR certifications.
