Kirk Lusk, former chief financial officer of Heritage Insurance Holdings’ NBIC Holdings subsidiary, has been named chief finance officer of Heritage.
Lusk will work as co-CFO of incumbent Steven Martindale until the latter’s contract expires on April 28, Heritage said. Martindale will vacate his post to pursue financial consulting and will continue to support Heritage as a member of the insurance holding company’s board of directors.
Lusk joined Heritage in November 2017 through the company’s acquisition of NBIC Holdings, the parent company of Narragansett Bay Insurance Company.
“Kirk was instrumental in managing NBIC's financial operations and his experience at large insurance carriers will prove invaluable as we continue to evolve as a superregional insurer," Heritage Chairman and CEO Bruce Lucas said.
Lusk is a 20-year finance and insurance veteran, with experience in roles such as underwriter, controller and CFO.
He previously held CFO posts at Aetna, Alea Group Holdings Bermuda and General Electric.
Lusk has a master's degree in business administration from the University of Connecticut and a bachelor’s degree from Colorado College.
