Eugene Fullam, a former executive director at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services’ Vermont EB-5 Regional Center, has been named chief financial officer and a managing director at Civitas Capital Group.
Civitas said Fullam brings experience from various investment firms, such as Citigroup, HSBC, Lehman Brothers and Standard & Poor's.
He dealt with institutional issuers and investors on mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings and private placements in his previous roles.
"Gene's 35 years of experience in financial, operational, and strategic leadership in highly competitive financial industries will help Civitas as it expands its institutional investor base," Civitas CEO Daniel Healy said in a news release. “He'll offer invaluable advice on financial strategy as we expand our institutional investment platforms in 2018 and beyond."
Fullam also worked as CFO and chief operating officer at insurance company International Bond & Marine.
The new Civitas CFO said he will oversee and build on the growth that will follow Civitas’ achievements in delivering services to institutional and EB-5 investors.
Civitas is a Dallas-based specialty asset management firm focused on real estate, lodging and alternative credit opportunities.
