The National Association of Realtors, the nation’s largest trade association, seeks a human resources consultant to join its Chicago-based leadership development team in developing professional growth and supporting a culture of excellence and respect.
“Experience in recruiting/compensation and strong service orientation [are] required, as is the ability to generate and close new business,” company spokespersons said.
Applicants should have high-level consulting experience with associations or other organizations; the capacity to balance diplomacy with confidence is essential.
Candidates should bring at least seven years of field-related background and proven familiarity with relevant subject matter and procedures. Those with an HR or business degree and SPHR or other related HR certification are preferred.
The successful candidate will have a track record of project and time management expertise along with organizational, communication, analytical, business development, marketing, and presentation skills; and be willing to travel approximately 50 percent of the time.
He or she will assist in recruitment; lead strategic and workforce planning; offer employee relations guidance; provide analysis, and develop initiatives to support executive leadership. Additionally, the consultant will provide HR support to state and local association executive leadership.
Benefits are plentiful, including standard coverage areas; cell phone and tuition reimbursement, and pension options as well as a flex plan after the first year of employment.
