EP Energy Corp. has appointed Robert Reeves and J. Barton Kalsu to its board of directors, filling the open independent director seats within the oil and natural gas company's leadership team.
"Everyone on the board is pleased with the additional insight and energy both Bob and Bart bring to the company," EP Energy Chairman Alan Crain said in a news release. "Bob has had outstanding success building and optimizing oil and gas companies. His judgment and expertise will be invaluable as we continue improving EP Energy."
Reeves, who served as chairman, president and CEO for Athlon Energy until its sale to Encana Corp. in 2014, has served on the board of directors for Niobrara Partners PL since 2015. He is a member of the EP audit committee as well as the company's governance & nominating committee.
"Bart's impressive career spans accounting, finance, corporate controls, operations and other pertinent areas. His acumen and candor will further strengthen and energize our company," Crain said. "The board is confident that EP Energy will greatly benefit from the knowledge and perspectives of these two exceptional individuals."
Kalsu, who serves as executive vice president and chief finance officer for SolarWinds Inc., has over 25 years of financial leadership experience in global finance and accounting. He has previously served on the Athlon Energy board of directors and will serve as chairman of EP's audit committee and as a member of the compensation committee.
