First Northern Community Bancorp and First Northern Bank recently promoted Kevin Spink, the company's senior vice president and corporate controller, to executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Spink, who will assume his new post beginning in February, will be responsible for the finance department's management and oversight. His duties will include financial reporting, corporate investments, financial analysis and preparing the company's audited annual report. He will also serve on the bank's asset/liability committee and will be a member of the senior management team.
In addition, Spink will be a participating member of the deposit product pricing committee, community reinvestment committee, information services steering committee and profit sharing committee.
“We are very fortunate to have Kevin on the Senior Management Team,” First Northern Bancorp and First Northern Bank CEO Jeremiah Smith said in a news release. “He is a consummate professional, an accomplished CPA, and a strong leader. I look forward to working with Kevin is his new role.”
Spink is a graduate of the University of Washington with a bachelor of science in business administration with a concentration in accounting. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
