International technology provider Avnet recently appointed industry veteran Tom Liguori as its chief financial officer, leveraging his long-time career expertise in finance and operations.
Slated to begin his new role on Jan. 29, Liguori most recently worked at Colorado-based Advanced Energy Industries, specializing in products and services for semiconductor and industrial power systems.
A certified management accountant and a certified financial manager, Liguori earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Boston University and an M.B.A. in finance from Arizona State University. He will report to CEO Bill Amelio, who praised Liguori’s background and potential.
“Tom’s impressive track record and expertise, combined with his experience helping transform businesses to drive financial growth and shareholder value, made him the ideal choice to be our new CFO,” Amelio said. “As we continue to build out our unique solutions ecosystem, we are certain Tom’s ability to partner across all levels of the organization will expedite our progress while laying the groundwork for future strategic investments and acquisitions.”
Creating stockholder value via assisting over 2.1 million clients and 1,400-plus suppliers in 125 nations worldwide, Avnet is based in Phoenix. The company provides highly scalable product and service offerings, accompanied by strategic investment and acquisition.
