Viacom has promoted Senior Vice President of HR business operations and information solutions Fukiko Ogisu to its executive vice president and chief people officer post.

"Fukiko combines a passion for people, knowledge of our brands and businesses, and a deep understanding of how technology and operations can make us work better. She’s the perfect person to help cultivate a diverse, entrepreneurial workforce and ensure our employees can thrive in a quickly changing environment.”
Ogisu, who joined Viacom in 2008, will manage the company's HR organization and oversee its security services.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to lead Viacom’s incredibly talented human resources and security teams, particularly at this exciting moment for the company," Ogisu said in a statement.
Ogisu's experience also includes serving over a decade at Microsoft, where she filled various product and business roles across the company. She is a graduate of Duke University, where she earned her bachelor of arts degree in comparative area studies. She also holds a masters of arts in East Asian Languages and Civilizations from the University of Chicago.
Viacom serves as home to global media brands who create entertainment content including television programs, motion pictures, short-form content, apps, games, consumer products, podcasts, live events and social media networks.
