CFI has appointed transportation and logistics executive Angela Ridge as its vice president of human resources, filling the post left vacant by retiring Vice President Bert Johnson.
Ridge previously served at Oregon State University as corporate education strategist, heading the university's corporate training programs, guiding staff development initiatives and implementing an institutional-wide learning management system.
"It is with great pleasure that we welcome Angela to CFI as vice president of human resources," President Tim Staroba said in a press release. "With more than 15 years of experience as a leader in human resources in the logistics industry, Angela understands how to acquire and retain the very best talent available, leveraging her background in organizational design, management and implementation to attract the people who make CFI the successful business that it is today and what it strives to be in the future."
Ridge also served as director of operations support for XPO Logistics/Con-way Multimodal where she lead the development and dissemination of global training models. Her experience also includes serving as national HR project manager for Menlo Logistics where she oversaw the company's Built Organizational Development Systems' program content.
Maryland-based CFI is a full-truckload carrier and division of TFI International, with a fleet of 2,400 company tractors and 8,000 trailers as part of its trucking operations.
