Ingredion Inc. plans to name the company's vice president of human resources for America and global specialities, Elizabeth Adefioye, its senior vice president and chief human resources officer at its February board of directors meeting.
Adefioye, who is expected to assume her new role beginning March 1, will head Ingredion's enterprise-wide people strategy and human resources functions, which includes developing and attracting world-class talent and working to enhance the company's organizational structure and effectiveness.
"Elizabeth brings a wealth of experience and expertise as a strategic HR leader and business partner to her new role," Ingredion President and CEO Jim Zallie said in a press release. "She also has extensive international experience in science-based businesses which is ideally suited to Ingredion's global operations and specialties ingredients focus. Over her career as an HR professional, she has an accomplished track record of driving talent development and organization effectiveness, being a champion for diversity and inclusion, and cultivating high-performance cultures."
Adefioye, who joined Ingredion in 2016, previously served as vice president of human resources for various Johnson & Johnson divisions. She also served at several other Fortune 500 companies including Novartis Consumer Health, Medtronic and Bristol-Myers Squibb.
Adefioye is a graduate of Lagos State University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry. She also holds a postgraduate diploma in human resources management from the University of Wesminster in London as well as a diploma in building leadership capability from Glasgow Caledonian University in the United Kingdom.
