The Colorado Department of Corrections is looking for a human resources technician.
Duties of the full-time position include providing technical support with the employment process, administering examinations, managing assessment boards, verifying employment eligibility documents, conducting on-boarding processes of new hires, processing personnel actions, researching and compiling statistics, and assisting with special projects.
Prospective candidates must possess three years of technical/high-level clerical experience, or a bachelor’s degree or course work in a related field of study; six months experience working within a HR office or conducting HR functions; strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, organizational, problem-solving and customer service skills; the ability to learn and apply personnel concepts, procedures, processes, and rules; knowledge of personnel information systems; the ability to work in a team environment; and the ability to handle confidential information.
Preferred qualifications include experience in progressive marketing, recruitment and/or sales, working in CO Jobs/NeoGov and governmental applicant data systems, and speaking to large groups; and knowledge of Microsoft applications, relevant state and federal laws, and state governmental database and tracking systems.
