Rockford, Illinois-based behavioral health organization Rosecrance is looking for a benefits and payroll specialist.

Duties of the full-time position include presenting new employee orientation, providing employee and supervisor education and coaching, administering benefits, processing payroll, maintaining payroll operations, updating payroll records, analyzing employment data, maintaining HRIS systems, participating in the development of company policy and procedures, and providing support in numerous HR areas.

Prospective candidates must possess at least two years of HR experience focused on benefits and/or payroll; intermediate skills with Windows-based programs; strong communication, organizational, presentation and project management skills; the ability to work independently; the ability to handle confidential information; and knowledge of employment laws and regulations, and HRIS systems.

Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
