Comprehensive Health Services has promoted 20-year medical management executive Keith Rigdon to serve as the company's program director.
In his new role, Rigdon, a retired U.S. Army veteran, will lead the company's portfolio of business with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and will also continue his role as program coordinator for Comprehensive Health's HHS Shelter Care contract.
Rigdon, who holds a master's degree in human resource management from Central Michigan University, served as an Army Medical Services Corps officer. His experience also includes serving HHS as a site director for the department's largest Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC) shelter facility, managing resources in support of 2,500 children. He also oversaw a $1 billion medical contract for deployed State Department contractors in Iraq.
Rigdon's private-sector experience includes running a $30 million portfolio of health care business for the Hospital Corp. of America.
Rigdon received his bachelor's degree in economics from Western Kentucky University and is also a graduate of the School of Advanced Military Studies and the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
Comprehensive Health is one of the largest providers of workforce medical services in the U.S. and manages customized medical programs for large and dispersed workforces.
