Faith-based health care organization Adventist Health System is seeking an employee benefits specialist in Altamonte Springs, Florida.
Duties of the full-time position include processing benefit plan enrollments and terminations, analyzing enrollment reports, providing guidance on benefit plan information, managing benefit changes for unpaid leaves of absences, and responding to payroll inquires related to benefits and retirement deductions.
Prospective candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in business, health administration, HR or relevant field, or the equivalent in education and/or related experience; two years experience in support of employer-sponsored group health and welfare programs in a HR team environment; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; HCM experience; strong communication, analytical, organizational and customer service skills; the ability to handle confidential information; and knowledge of state and federal regulations related to benefits administration.
Preferred qualifications include experience in a large employer setting with complex and varied benefit programs and policies, experience with PeopleSoft, and CEBS or PHR/SHRM-CP certification.
