The Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation has appointed Gerri Mason Hall, senior vice president of human resources services for Sodexo North America, as its chair.
Mason Hall, who took over the chair position in September, will lead the foundation’s partners in developing long-term solutions to combat the problem of childhood hunger in the U.S.
Mason Hall is a member of Sodexo’s North America Regional Leadership Committee and the Sodexo Women’s International Forum for Talent (SWIFt) as well as the Executive Leadership Council. She is also a board member of the UNCF and now chair of the Board of Directors for Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation.
"It wasn't until I joined Sodexo that I truly understood childhood hunger in America and its impact on children's health, education and future success," Mason Hall said in a press release. "With one in six children in the United States still hungry, all children deserve access to sufficient healthy food every day so that they can learn, play and thrive.”
The Stop Hunger Foundation is a nonprofit designed to ensure every child in America is able to grow up with dependable access to enough nutritious food so they can live healthy and productive lives. Over the past 20 years, the foundation has granted almost $30 million to help alleviate child hunger.
