Patrick Burke, who has been with Harmony Health Plan Inc.’s parent company WellCare Health Plans Inc. since April 2015, recently became the firm’s chief operating officer in Illinois.

Burke previously managed network operations for the company in Missouri as a vice president. In his new role, he will assume responsibility for strategy on current programming and help to develop new initiatives, reporting to Senior Vice President David Reynolds, who handles WellCare’s north division.

"Pat has a proven track record of leading teams to help ensure our members have access to quality care," Reynolds said. "His experience and expertise will help guide Harmony through its upcoming state expansion and beyond."

Having earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri, Burke went on to gain a master’s degree in health administration from St. Louis University. 

“I am proud to be able to work with the dedicated and talented leadership team at Harmony to help ensure that our Medicaid and Medicare members in Illinois receive the most appropriate care in the most appropriate settings," Burke said.
