Heartland Financial is seeking a human resources generalist in Dubuque, Iowa.
Duties of the full-time position include recruiting and interviewing potential employees, assisting with the candidate selection process, managing the job offer process, implementing talent development plans, managing staff integration and retention, developing training on personnel-related subjects, assisting with the annual performance appraisal process, managing employee engagement and retention initiatives, providing guidance on the interpretation of HR policies and procedures, and managing employee relations issues.
Prospective candidates must possess a college degree; three plus years of HR experience; strong analytical, change management, conflict management, critical judgment, negotiation and relationship building skills; the ability to work independently and as a team member; and knowledge of HR/employment laws and regulations.
Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree; experience in campus recruiting, talent acquisition, talent management, and training and development; experience using HRIS, applicant tracking systems, and/or learning management systems; and PHR/SPHR or other related HR certification.
