Pleasanton, California-based enterprise cloud application provider Workday, specializing in the finance and HR sectors, recently announced a single-user interface designed for businesses to enhance their digital experiences with expanded tools and capabilities.
With plans to initiate the new toolkit in the latter half of 2018 as part of Workday HCM, the company prefaced the launch by describing its built-in benefits — such as search capabilities, adaptiveness to interoperable applications in the workplace, and the ability for their new platform to be customized easily with personalized content.
Additionally, the new version will allow third-party providers or vendors to be able to communicate through their own integrated non-Workday applications. Finally, it will enhance all aspects of the “employee journey” in a variety of scenarios or events.
"Today's HR leaders accept that they must employ a network of solutions to fully support and enable their people, but will no longer settle for a subpar, disconnected portal that adds complexity and friction to the employee experience," Cristina Goldt, Workday’s vice president for HCM products, said. "Workday will fill the gap where HR portals have failed — alleviating the frustration that people endure when having to move between various tools and resources. With the power of personalization and intuitive functionality woven into the core HR system, our customers can enable their people to perform tasks easily and efficiently, in turn, boosting engagement and productivity for the benefit of the business."
