CPS HR Consulting will continue its $20,000 Talent Management Innovation Grant designed to support excellence in human resources practices in the public sector.
Now in its third year, the program recognizes human resource contributions to public service with the 2018 grant being awarded to a government agency demonstrating those principles.
“We are excited to be able to continue awarding this grant to deserving agencies,” CPS HR Consulting CEO Jerry Greenwell said in a press release. “The past two years of applicants have been outstanding, and we look forward to seeing what HR innovations this year’s applicants have in mind.”
According to CPS, the agency selected for the grant will be responsible for using the grant money for the establishment of a unique or innovative human resources related program within their agency. Requirements also include the funds being used for internal staffing and the agency must implement a new program which links the agency’s goals or strategic plan. The agency must also demonstrate how the grant funds were used as well as design and implement an outcome-based program within eight months.
The winning agency will be awarded the grant during the Accelerate 2018 CPS HR Conference in February, which will be held in Napa Valley, California.
Sacramento-based CPS is a public agency that provides HR solutions to government and nonprofit clients throughout the U.S.
