Alsip, Illinois-based social services organization Sertoma Centre is hiring a full-time human resources director.
Duties of the position include recruiting employees, administering employee benefits, managing an employee evaluation system, developing a competitive staff compensation plan, handling employee job performance issues, managing the human capital management (HCM) system, implementing HR polices and procedures, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Prospective candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in business administration, HR or related field; at least five years of HR experience; five years supervisory experience; HR professional certification; excellent command of the English language; proficiency with various applications including Microsoft Office and HRM software; strong communication, negotiation and multi-tasking skills; and knowledge of employment law, and compliance requirements of local, state and federal regulations.
Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, experience in the non-profit disability services field, and knowledge of a second language.
