Florida-based Bankers Healthcare Group’s (BHG) people development manager Eddie Roman recently earned “Power Leader in Human Resources” status from the South Florida Business Journal in its second annual listing honoring outstanding regional HR professionals.
Tasked with overall responsibility for recruiting, hiring, payroll, benefits and employee recognition, Roman joined BHG in 2006. His crowning achievement in 2017, he said, was establishing a new software platform for the company.
“[Implementing] a new HR software system that has a comprehensive set of interactive tools to help managers and employees regularly track performance [has] been a huge asset to BHG because it's helped foster more open communication and create a more streamlined approach to HR processes," Roman said.
Roman thanked several of his colleagues for outlaying resources towards the technology upgrade. BHG president Bob Castro complimented Roman’s “positive energy,” saying that he “embodies BHG's core values and strives every day to help make our company a great place to work."
BHG has previously garnered kudos as a “great place to work” and earned mention in both Forbes and Entrepreneur for its innovative employee incentives.
The firm specializes in health care practice financing from its corporate headquarters in Davie, Florida; it also operates financial and sales hubs in Syracuse, New York and New York City, respectively.
