SmithBucklin, a respected association management and services firm, recently signed on with Human Resources Management Association of Chicago (HRMAC) to provide a full spectrum of professional resources under the leadership of CEO Elizabeth Summy.
HRMAC membership comprises close to 750 regional organizations representing more than 7,000 HR professionals. Its executive committee performed an intensive three-month search for the right relationship, finally selecting Summy for her strong track record and proven capacity to actualize organizational objectives.
“HRMAC plays a critical role in leading the dialogue on workplace strategy in the Chicagoland human resources community, and I am honored to help [SmithBucklin] advance its mission and vision,” Summy said. “I am excited about the members’ passion, and I look forward to serving them and working with the Executive Committee and the staff.”
Summy brings a strong list of credentials to the consultancy, including having served as deputy chief of staff for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in Washington, D.C. She earned a master’s degree in health care administration from Des Moines University in Iowa and has been a Certified Association Executive for over 10 years.
“It is a privilege to welcome HRMAC and Liz into our community of business and trade associations,” said Jim McNeil, SmithBucklin’s executive vice president and chief of business and trade industry practice. “Liz’s impressive experience in the association world makes her a perfect fit for our SmithBucklin team.”
