Three decades of corporate leadership recently dovetailed for Craig Smith, who has been appointed as senior consultant at Chicago-based strategy execution company Gagen MacDonald to focus on transformation, vision and value following his relocation to the area.
"Craig brings an important perspective as he has 'walked in our clients' shoes for three decades," Gagen MacDonald President Sherry Scott said. “He has great empathy and understanding for their experience and the complexity they face, as well as how hard it is to drive change from the inside-out in Corporate America today.”
With a bachelor's degree in politics and parliamentary studies from the United Kingdom-based University of Leeds, Smith previously held positions at and created work for Accenture, BP, The Hartford, Travelers and UK electric utility National Power.
"I've had the privilege of working with Gagen MacDonald for many years as a client, and I'm thrilled to join the firm as it continues to grow," Smith said. "My passion is developing strategic internal communications initiatives that deliver business results, and I'm looking forward to partnering with our clients to help them increase the effectiveness of their communication programs."
Since 1998, Gagen MacDonald has striven to bring cultural change and enhance employee engagement for commercial businesses on an international scale including well-known brands such as Coca-Cola, DuPont, GE, Johnson & Johnson, Phillips 66, and Walgreens Boots Alliance.
