Arnold Partners, an executive search firm that specialized in recruiting chief financial officers and board members for tech companies throughout the United States, has released a series of online videos for executives, founders and HR leaders to assist them in hiring C-suite executives.
According to Arnold Partners, many companies and nonprofits use a search firm to hire C-suite executives, yet only 70 percent of the retained searches get completed. And even if the search is not completed, the company still must pay 100 percent of the fee.
The videos tell stories about the search process and provide advice on managing the process and hiring executives.
"Engaging a search partner is an important and expensive decision that ideally leads to making a hire that adds tremendous value to a company," Dave Arnold, founder of Arnold Partners, said in a statement. "But little information on the process is available, and a lot of mistakes are made. Either the search is not completed, or a less-than-stellar executive ends up getting hired. A major reason for failure is that CEOs and hiring managers aren't asking the right questions when selecting a search partner."
