Melanie Hughes was recently named chief human resources officer of Moody’s, the financial services company that provides credit ratings, debt instruments and securities research, and risk analysis.

Hughes has more than three decades of HR leadership experience across a variety of sectors including financial, media, retail and technology. Among the companies she has worked for are American Eagle Outfitters, DoubleClick, Gilt Groupe, Tribune and UBS.

“Melanie’s strong record of leadership in human resources and talent development will help guide Moody’s as we continue to attract, develop and retain a talented and diverse global workforce to support our growth and the evolving needs of our business,” Moody’s President and CEO Raymond McDaniel said.
