The National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO) recently honored Bruce Cornutt, president of Lyons HR’s HRO division, with the 2017 Doyle Award.
The organization gives the award out on an annual basis to individuals who show leadership and service to NAPEO efforts, and show a business philosophy of simultaneously improving the industry while improving his or her professional employer organization.
"Bruce is knowledgeable, engaged and passionate about NAPEO efforts at all levels. He is a steady voice for the industry," NAPEO President and CEO Pat Cleary said in a statement. "Bruce devotes his time and expertise to advancing the industry's and the association's goals. I have never known Bruce to say 'no' when someone asks for his help."
Cornutt is on the NAPEO Board of Directors, as well as the Finance, Audit & Oversight Committee and State Government Affairs Committee. He has been in the PEO industry in 1996; he served as business development manager for two PEOs and then became the director of sales for the Hancock Management Group (THMG) in 2002.
In 2008, Cornutt was promoted to senior vice president of business development and partner. THMG was acquired by the Lyons HR in 2010. Afterward, the company promoted Cornutt to president of the HRO Division.
