The Unemployment Service Trust (UST), a program that provides nonprofits with dedicated human resources support and educational tools, recently presented a 30-minute webinar on HR risk management.
Titled “Unemployment & HR Risk Management with UST,” the webinar reveals UST’s top recommendations to combat unemployment and risk issues. It covers some of the most common issues that end up costing nonprofits thousands of dollars.
Attendees of the webinar learn about reducing of unemployment tax liability as a 501(c)(3); benchmarking unemployment costs; protecting funding from claims and liability; managing unemployment claims, protests and hearings; avoiding HR errors and mistakes; and enhancing goodwill through outplacement services.
UST was founded by nonprofits for nonprofits. It seeks to deliver a cost-effective alternative to paying state unemployment taxes to nonprofits. More than 2,200 nonprofits use the program.
