Former Loews Hotels & Co. executive Michael Fischer has been named chief human resources officer at hotel management company White Lodging.

Fischer has more than 20 years of HR management experience. He mostly recently served as executive vice president of HR for Loews Hotels & Co. in New York City.

“Fischer's extensive background in hospitality human resources makes him the ideal executive to lead this incredibly important discipline at White Lodging, which ties directly to the growth and success of our company,’ White Lodging Hospitality Management President and CEO Ken Barrett said.

Fischer has worked with Loews Hotels and parent company Loews Corporation since 2004. Before joining Loews, he worked with Starwood Hotels and Resorts for 16 years.

“This is a full-circle moment for me,” Fischer said. “After working in every area of human resources for two decades, I look forward to bringing the best of my experience to a great company already making a substantial impact in the hospitality industry. I believe collaborating with the entire White Lodging team will be one of my most rewarding experiences yet.”
