Help is needed to anchor a Home Depot distribution center’s HR needs in Lake Park, Georgia in the form of a generalist to execute plans, oversee programming, tend to compliance and perform standard HR functions.
Matters related to EEO/AAP, staffing, compensation and benefits; training, organizational development, and employee relations will fall under the generalist’s jurisdiction.
The successful candidate will support employee relations with coaching to keep company values and culture positive. Time will also be devoted to employee benefits, report and data assessment, some HRIS tasking, training and recruitment, but with no direct supervision of staffers. Minimal travel is involved.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to work in the U.S., and have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, plus two years of work experience.
Previous experience with third-party litigation and unemployment claims, compensation programs, corrective action procedures, and training presentations are a plus.
Standard knowledge of computer skills and Microsoft Office applications are required, as are excellent communications and organizational skills. Candidates should also possess conflict resolution skills and be able to apply employment law and policy systematically to everyday situations.
This position offers a salary of $55,000-$65,000 annually in a comfortable office environment. Home Depot is an EOE.
