The McHenry County (Illinois) government is looking for a full-time human resources generalist.
Duties of the position include managing benefit programs, identifying training needs, working with vendors to provide training, supporting wellness activities and programs, ensuring an effective performance management system, supporting HR initiatives, maintaining personnel files, handling payroll inquiries, coordinating meetings, and recommending new programs.
Prospective candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in business management, HR or a related field; three years of HR experience with at least two years in benefits and/or training; intermediate skills with Microsoft Office; and strong communication, analytical, organizational and problem management skills.
They should also be customer and detail-oriented, and be able to prioritize and handle confidential information.
Preferred qualifications include experience with ADP payroll system.
