For Sean McMurray, technological advances are just part of what makes his position as chief technology officer at Businessolver so exciting.
“I love that there is always more to learn,” McMurray told HR Daily Wire. “Technology is constantly evolving with new innovations uncovered every day. Consumers are engaging with technology every waking minute, and the amount of data created is staggering.”
As head of the technology department, McMurray constantly is working with his team to ensure that clients are having their needs met.
“My job is to ensure the technology that powers our business is best-in-class and that our team continues to work together to innovate our offerings. I also make it a priority to keep a pulse on new trends and technologies to gather insights that can help drive Businessolver’s presence in the market,” McMurray said.
That presence is growing with the opening of offices in Chicago and Denver, which McMurray believes is a step in the right direction for the company.
“We’ve seen amazing growth in our Denver office and were honored to be recently recognized by Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper as a fast-growing company in the Denver metro area,” McMurray said. “And our new office in the Chicagoland area adds another valuable hub for us in the Midwest. With that pace of growth, my team is inspired to continue innovating our Benefitsolver platform – as well as our internal technology processes – to support our fellow Solvers in delivering delight for our clients.”
McMurray explained that delighting customers is all about having the right talent, a benefit of opening offices in such promising tech environments.
Being chief technology officer of a successful company is not without its own set of challenges, a fact that McMurray candidly expounds on.
“CTOs, and the companies we lead, are responsible for protecting the personal data of our clients in an age where there is an influx of applications, end users and cloud computing, opening up more digital channels and loopholes for hackers to access,” McMurray said, adding that protecting customer data is a responsibility that Businessolver takes very seriously.
As 2017 comes to a close, Businessolver is excited to continue promoting their new mobile app, MyChoice, which gives individuals the ability to access information about their benefits from their smartphone, making changes as needed.
“We’re also gearing up for annual enrollment and are excited to support our clients during the busiest time of year,” McMurray said.
