According to job candidates themselves, certain well-known cereal, apparel and travel corporations rank highly among Glassdoor’s Best Places to Interview in 2017 — its second annual roundup of desirable workplaces — just recently released to the public.
Glassdoor, itself a rapidly growing enterprise, announced the winners from among establishments in both the United States and Great Britain. Using a rating scale, the company asked survey participants to anonymously rank interview experiences.
The 10 highest-rated companies included health care, technology, retail, aerospace and business service firms, among other industries. The winners were Dignity Health, Horizon Media, Cadence Design Systems, Salesforce, J. Crew, SSM Health, General Mills, LUSH North America, JetBlue and QuikTrip.
Additionally, four firms won kudos in both the U.S. and U.K.: H&M, IKEA, Procter & Gamble, and Salesforce. The survey results included a commentary section as well as data.
Interviewees culled from approximately 700,000 employers defined positive aspects of an interview such as smoothness, friendliness, clarity of communication and transparency. In addition to ease, the survey also took time into account, noting how many days interview procedures lasted.
Created in 2008, Glassdoor “helps employers hire truly informed candidates at scale through effective recruiting solutions,” company spokespersons stated. Glassdoor is based in Mill Valley, California, north of San Francisco.
