Illinois-based insurance agency Pekin Insurance is looking for a human resources generalist.
Duties of the position include developing job descriptions, conducting background and reference checks, ensuring a timely recruitment process, using creative sourcing methods, maintaining employee records, participating in job fairs, and communicating HR decisions.
Prospective candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree, at least one year HR/recruiting experience, basic knowledge of company polices and procedures, basic knowledge of state and federal employment laws, and working knowledge of MS Office products and HRIS systems.
They must also have strong communication skills, familiarity with business terms and acronyms, and the ability to multi-task, work in a team environment, and handle confidential information.
Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in business or HR-related field.
